Our story
Safety First Driving School opened in NE Calgary in 2012 with one belief. Nobody learns to drive while they are being yelled at.
We were tired of hearing students describe their old lessons as scary, rushed, or embarrassing, so we built the opposite. From our home at 935 8 Ave NE, we now serve drivers in every quadrant of Calgary.
Our students come to us as nervous teens, as adults who put off their license for years, as parents who have not driven since their home country, and as newcomers learning Canadian roads for the first time. What stays the same for all of them is how we teach. Calm, structured, and patient. We break every move into small, repeatable steps. We never raise our voice. We do not pretend driving is easy, we just make it learnable.

How long does it take to learn driving with Safety First?
Most students feel confident behind the wheel within 4–6 weeks of regular lessons. The full Class 5 Complete Course is usually completed in 6–10 weeks depending on your schedule.
